Privacy Policy

We collect the username you choose when creating an account. Email address is optional and only collected if you provide it.

We collect download event counts — how many files you have downloaded — but not the names of specific files you download. We collect your active file share count — how many files you are sharing — but not the names or contents of those files.

We collect your referral code and track how many users you refer. We collect anonymized session identifiers for ad impression counting.

We do not collect your real name, address, payment information, or any sensitive personal data.

We use your data to track your tier status and unlock features as you contribute. To process referral rewards. To display your ranking to other users. To serve relevant affiliate recommendations for VPN and antivirus products that are genuinely useful for file sharing.

We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not show personalized advertising based on your browsing or download history.

Account data is stored in a Supabase hosted Postgres database with industry standard security.

Local app data including your library index and settings is stored on your own device in a local database and is never transmitted to our servers except for the specific fields described above.

We work with the following third parties:

• Supabase for database hosting.
• Google for optional Drive integration and OAuth login.
• Affiliate partners for VPN and antivirus recommendations — each has their own privacy policy: NordVPN, ExpressVPN, Malwarebytes, Bitdefender.

You can request deletion of your account and all associated data by emailing contact@bitzp2p.com. You can export your data on request. You can opt out of affiliate recommendations in the app settings.
