Bitz connects to Soulseek's central servers using a modern twin-port configuration on 2234/2235 with dynamic client-side UPnP mapping — replacing the unreliable legacy single-port 2416 reference. Connection success rates jump from ~60% to over 98% behind consumer NATs.
Slow 1-to-1 queues, upgraded to swarms
Old networks (Soulseek, eDonkey, Direct Connect) suffer from agonizing 1-to-1 upload queues. The moment one Bitz user fetches a rare file, the built-in Torrent Bridge creates a magnet on the BitTorrent DHT — permanently upgrading that file into a fast, highly-available swarm.
Six networks, one query
Soulseek, BitTorrent, eDonkey/Kad, Gnutella, Ares, and Advanced Direct Connect are queried in parallel. Results are deduplicated by TTH and SHA-1, and downloads pull blocks from whichever network is fastest at that millisecond.

Built for Linux ISOs, scientific datasets, software distributions like Telegram Desktop, and large game/mod updates. Multi-source block assembly combined with ADC's Tiger Tree Hashing verification maxes out modern fiber with zero packet poisoning.
TTH + AICH + SHA-1
Every block is verified before it ever touches disk. Tiger Tree from ADC, AICH part hashes from eDonkey, and SHA-1 piece hashes from BitTorrent — Bitz uses whichever the source network provides and refuses corrupt chunks silently.
Keep rare files alive forever
Any file you fetch from a legacy network can be auto-bridged to BitTorrent. A magnet link is generated from the file's hash, announced on the DHT, and re-seeded by every Bitz peer who later requests it — so the file outlives the original uploader.
